E-mail Discussion Groups
for Land Trust Related Issues
Condemnation is an informal discussion group consisting of land trust staff and board members, and other conservation professionals interested in the impact of the federal National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (NIETC) designation, and of condemnation generally, on conserved land.
The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity to share lessons learned and strategize on effective means to prevent the use of the federal NIETC designation and condemnation generally to adversely impact conserved lands.
Why Join?
- Discuss the issues of condemnation and how it affects land conserved by land trusts
- Discuss the NIETC designation specifically and what land trusts and others can do to protect conserved lands that may be affected by the designation
- Join a support network for sharing the successes and challenges of dealing with condemnation as it affects land trusts
