Why Have LTAnet?
As part of its mission, the Land Trust Alliance strengthens the land trust movement by providing the information needed to build strong organizations that can protect land forever. Every year that the land conservation movement grows and matures, land trusts amass valuable experience and information on organizational management and land transactions. LTAnet is a way to collect and disseminate this information to all land trusts, no matter where they are.

Land conservation professionals often ask for examples of policies, checklists, or other documentation used by other land trusts that they can review, compare, and modify for their own use. With full-text search capabilities and a user-friendly design, LTAnet will provide conservationists with the information they need, when they need it. LTAnet is designed to facilitate access to current, consistent, and high-quality information, and is available to member land trusts, Land Trust Alliance regional staff, and other conservation professionals.
