State Tax Credits for Conservation Donations

The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources has put together a chart that provides an outline of tax benefits for conservation (PDF; 61KB) provided by 10 state governments. This chart is for those of you wishing to show your governor or state legislature what other states have done to help landowners conserve their land.

This is an outline only, and doesn't necessarily include the latest amendments to these laws, or recent state revenue rulings interpreting them. Nor does it provide broader context about the respective states' tax codes in general.
