Senate Finance Committee Public Hearing Notice

June 1, 2005

The Chairman wishes to inform Members that the Committee on Finance will meet on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., in 628 Dirksen Senate Office Building, to hear testimony on “The Tax Code and Land Conservation:  Report on Investigations and Proposals for Reform.”

The following witnesses are scheduled to testify:

  • Mr. Steven J. McCormick, President and CEO, Nature Conservancy, Arlington, VA;
  • Mr. Ira Millstein, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, New York, NY;
  • Mr. Rand Wentworth, President, Land Trust Alliance, Washington, DC;
  • Mr. Timothy Lindstrom, Director of Protection & Staff Attorney, Jackson Hole Land Trust, Jackson, WY;
