LTA’s Mary Pope Hutson was recently appointed by then Secretary of the
Interior Gale Norton as a member of the Advisory Group established under the
Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act. The Act program provides grants
to organizations, including land trusts, which promote the conservation of
these birds.
Hutson commented, "This is a wonderful opportunity for land trusts. I
encourage you to actively seek this funding to protect neotropical migrant
habitat in your community."
Already a member of the North American Wetlands Conservation Council, Hutson
